Is this real? Can somebody confirm? What’s stopping the daughters from going over to Mexico (I’m guessing they have US citizenship/an unlimited residence permit)? Why do they have to meet through the fence?? How did the mothers get deported in the first place without their children?!

To answer your questions, @shacklesburst, yes this is real, it doesn’t just happen on Mother’s Day, many of our people are separated and suffering daily. They meet at the fence because it’s literally all they can do. You’re guessing the daughters have citizenship…I’m guessing, based on the picture, that they, uh, don’t. Or at least are not in a position where they can safely leave the country & return. How did the mothers get deported without their children? Because we live in a cold, unfeeling, white supremacist world.
This is real. This is what’s happening. We’re supposedly waging a war against cartels, “murderers, and rapists,” but it’s families yearning for a better life who are suffering.
